This Privacy Policy explains how Nit Corporation s. r. o. (the “Controller”) processes personal data collected through the ntoola platform. We comply with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection.

2. Data we process
- Account data: email, display name, hashed password, preferences.
- Usage & diagnostic data: aggregated, non-identifying analytics (feature usage, error signals) used to improve the Service.
- Billing data: for paid plans only — processed by our payment provider; we store only invoice metadata required by Slovak accounting law.
- Document content: processed locally in your browser by default. Cloud sync uploads occur only when you explicitly enable them.
3. Legal bases
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — providing the Service.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — security, fraud prevention, product analytics.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — non-essential cookies, marketing communications.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) — accounting, tax, statutory retention.
4. Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active and up to 24 months after deletion for backup and legal purposes. Invoicing data is retained for 10 years as required by Slovak law.
5. Recipients & processors
We share personal data only with vetted processors under Art. 28 GDPR contracts: infrastructure providers (Cloudflare, EU/EEA hosting), authentication provider, email provider, and Google AdSense/Analytics on pages that display ads. A full sub-processor list is available on request.
6. International transfers
Where processors operate outside the EEA, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (Decision 2021/914) or an adequacy decision.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights contact info@nctools.eu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov SR, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava).
8. Security
We apply industry-standard technical and organisational measures — TLS in transit, encryption at rest, least-privilege access, and continuous monitoring — to safeguard personal data.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
Material updates to this policy will be communicated in-product or by email in advance.
